This site was designed to be the ultimate resource for the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance field. Dennis V. Damp, now President of Bookhaven Press LLC, was a senior Program Manager for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for 11 years and Air Traffic Control Tower Operations Manager for an additional 5 years. He managed a comprehensive EHS program for his organization. During his tenure he was a FAA Safety Committee Chairman, managed numerous compliance programs including lockout/tagout, hazardous communications, confined space, fire safety, climbing safety, asbestos abatement, air sampling, spill prevention and cleanup, and he was trained to be an OSHA safety inspector. Damp managed a professional team of specialists and engineers that provided EHS support and assistance for a large organization and he personally conducted hundreds of safety inspections and was responsible for insuring that exceptions were funded and cleared timely.

Dennis designed this site to provide a centralized information clearing house for the EHS field that visitors can use to locate program specific information, link to federal regulations, locate services and suppliers, explore career options, and find jobs.

Dennis Damp also has an extensive background in recruiting, management, career development, and training. He expanded this site to include a comprehensive career center for the EHS field. Damp worked 35 years for the federal government including active military service in the U.S. Air Force and in the federal civil service with the Federal Aviation Administration in high level management positions. Earlier in his career he was a training specialist who taught technical and career development courses throughout the country including directing and producing training videos and conducting onsite seminars. He was involved with federal recruiting, hiring, establishing interview panels, and was a rating official for the FAA. He is the author of 23 books, including the award wining 10th edition of "The Book of U.S. Government Jobs," the 4th edition of Health Care Jobs Explosion, the 4th edition of Post Office Jobs, and he designs and publishes Career Centers for those exploring new careers or seeking current employment.
